Who We Are
About Us
Jackie
Founder, Owner, Teacher
Les Petits Tigres was founded by Jackie Colchester to promote Early Years language learning and French culture in South London and online. Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages and worked as a professional musician. She has taught both in schools and privately in America, France and England. A creative and enthusiastic practitioner, she is passionate about language learning and feels that you’re never too young (or old!) to start.
Jackie is a mother of one and started Les Petits Tigres French language classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers as a way to enhance her child’s learning when he was young and to share her love of French language and culture with others. Music is one of the most effective and natural means of language acquisition, not to mention lots of fun!
About Us
Anne-Claire
Teacher
Anne-Claire came to London over ten years ago and has been living here ever since. As a native French speaker and a parent who wanted to ensure that her son learned French, she started attending Les Petits Tigres with her young baby. Looking to make a change in career and do something that fits her family lifestyle and is aligned with her values, Anne-Claire has joined Jackie and Monsieur le Tigre teaching French to even more families in a fun and friendly environment.
What We Do
At Les Petit Tigres we love teaching babies, toddlers and preschool children French through our multi-sensory musical classes, available in person and online.
We assist with preschool language learning through a range of fun-filled activities. Our French classes engage with children through puppetry, singing, live music, rhythmic instrument play, action songs, movement, rhymes and sensory props.
Our classes are available in Greenwich, Nunhead, Dulwich, Battersea and Bermondsey as well as online.
In addition to our parent and child classes, we are available to deliver sessions for nurseries, both in person or online.

What Our Customers Say
Louise,
Mama to Alexander
As always, this class
is just superb. My LO has been going since he was 4 months and at nearly 11 months now, he just enjoys it more and more.
Helen,
Mama to Teddy
I'm glad that I bundled her up and got her out of the house as she LOVED the class!
She liked all the props and the teacher was very kind to her.
Claire,
Mama to Ellie
My daughter and I have been going to Les Petits Tigres since she was six months old. Songs are repeated often enough that they are easy to learn. It is wonderful to see how she has absorbed the songs and rhymes
